<p data-path-to-node="8">Once there, your guide will equip you with all the essential gear for the hike—crampons, helmet, and ice axe—and provide instruction on how to walk confidently on the ice. As you step onto the glacier, your guide will navigate you through the frozen landscape, pointing out safe crevasses, intriguing moulins, and remarkable ice sculptures.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="9">Unlike climbing expeditions, our tour does not require ropes or climbing skills unless you specifically wish to test your mettle with a brief climbing experience. The focus here is on the journey and the stunning scenery surrounding you. You’ll have approximately <b>2.5 hours</b> on the ice, ensuring plenty of time to marvel at the environment without feeling rushed.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="10">Overall, the day is projected to last between <strong>11 to 12 hours</strong>, although variations may occur due to weather conditions and exploration time. After our time on the glacier, we’ll return to <strong>Reykjavík</strong>. Depending on our schedule, we might even have the opportunity to stop at the iconic <b>Skógafoss</b> and <b>Seljalandsfoss</b> waterfalls, enriching your South Coast experience, although remember that our primary focus will be the glacier.</p>
