Icelandic artist Laufey Lín Jónsdóttir has won her second Grammy Award, taking home the prize at the ceremony held in Los Angeles on February 1.

Her latest album, A Matter of Time, claimed Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, beating out some serious competition — Lady Gaga’s Harlequin, Elton John and Brandi Carlile’s Who Believes in Angels?, and Barbra Streisand’s The Secret Life of Partners: Volume 2.

It’s her second Grammy win. The first came for her 2023 album Bewitched — the same year she was named Artist of the Year at the Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards.

Shortly after Bewitched came out, The Grapevine sat down with Laufey to hear her thoughts at what was clearly a turning point in her career.
