Icelandic artist Laufey Lín Jónsdóttir recently celebrated a remarkable achievement, winning her second Grammy Award at the illustrious ceremony held in Los Angeles on February 1.
Her latest album, A Matter of Time, took home the award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, surpassing formidable competitors including Lady Gaga’s Harlequin, Elton John and Brandi Carlile’s Who Believes in Angels?, and Barbra Streisand’s The Secret Life of Partners: Volume 2.
This win marks a significant milestone for Laufey, who previously garnered a Grammy for her 2023 album Bewitched. That same year, she was also honored as the Artist of the Year at the prestigious Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards.
