Patti Smith to Enchant Iceland with Upcoming Concerts
American multi-disciplinary artist Patti Smith has exciting news for her fans: she will be gracing Iceland with two performances next year. Scheduled to take the stage at Harpa’s Eldborg on May 31 and again at Hof in Akureyri on June 2, 2026, Smith promises to deliver a memorable experience, as reported by RÚV.
Iceland has long been a special place for Smith, who has delighted local audiences on several occasions. Notably, she performed at Nasa in 2005 and captivated crowds at Háskólabíó the following year.
In a remarkable 2012 appearance, Smith joined forces with Australian actor Russell Crowe for a unique performance during Culture Night, held in a courtyard behind the now-closed Ellefan. This memorable collaboration further solidified her bond with the Icelandic cultural scene.
Her connection to the island continued with performances at a benefit concert in Harpa’s Eldborg and a special anniversary show celebrating her iconic album Horses in the same venue the following year.
With her return to Iceland on the horizon, fans can look forward to a night filled with artistry and poignant storytelling from one of music’s most enduring voices.
