Lawyer Charged with Violent Crimes in Falu District Court
A lawyer in his 50s from Västerås is facing serious charges in the Falu district court. The alleged offences span from March 25, 2024, to August 22, 2025, and the picture that emerges from the indictment is a grim one.
According to the charges, the accused repeatedly kicked and struck a woman — both at his home and in hotels, some of them abroad. In January this year, he allegedly kicked her in the face with enough force that she collapsed, then continued with further kicks to her upper body.
Children Witnessing the Violence
What makes the indictment especially disturbing is that children were present during some of these assaults. The woman reportedly suffered multiple injuries, pain, and bloody wounds as a direct result of his actions. On top of the physical violence, he is accused of threatening her life on two separate occasions.
The charges also include violations of child protection laws, given that at least some of the incidents took place in a child’s presence.
He was arrested on August 23, the day after an alleged incident at a hotel in Borlänge, where he reportedly forced the woman against a door, leaving her with an eyebrow injury, visible bruising, and marks around her eye.
Since his arrest, the lawyer has denied all allegations against him.
