In addition to her meeting with King Karl, President Tómasdóttir participated in a thought-provoking discussion at King’s College with former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. The two leaders exchanged insights on leadership, equality, and effective climate solutions. Halla expressed her long-standing admiration for Gillard, noting the depth of their conversation, enriched by the insightful questions posed by King’s College students.
As part of her itinerary, the President will also tour the Sustainable Ventures center, which is dedicated to nurturing start-ups focused on sustainability and climate solutions. Additionally, she is set to engage with Costas Markides, a strategy professor at the London Business School, to delve into the topic of a prosperity economy and explore the priorities of leaders navigating through times of change.
