Water Supply Interruption Planned in Kópavogur
Residents of Lindahverfi, Smárahverfi, Digranes, and Kársnes in Kópavogur should prepare for an interruption in their cold water supply tonight as essential maintenance work is set to take place on Arnarnesvegur.
The water will be shut off at 10 PM and is expected to remain unavailable until 6 AM the following morning.
As a precaution, Kópavogslaug will close its doors at 9:30 PM and will not reopen until 10 AM tomorrow.
Officials are recommending that residents fill up buckets for toilet use and store water in bottles for drinking and cooking. It may also be wise to clean the filters in kitchen taps and water inlets to ensure proper functioning once service resumes.
Additionally, those with heat exchangers may experience a lack of hot water during this outage.
