Never Too Late to Sign Up
Bergur Løkke Rasmussen changed his mind after watching the mayoral race in Helsingør Municipality unfold. He spent the campaign sizing up his competitors’ proposals and came away feeling that none of them offered a convincing case for mayor.
Asked whether the late move might simply be a sign of desperation — a reaction to weak support — he was straightforward about it: “I really don’t know. I offer an alternative, and perhaps that’s what Helsingør has been missing.”
On the question of whether there was still time for voters to get behind him, he wasn’t pessimistic: “No, I never think it’s too late. There are still two full days before the polls close. I’ve put this message out there, and now it’s up to the public to respond as they see fit.”
