For those who have long gazed up at the stars with dreams of venturing into space, an exciting development is on the horizon: a new hotel poised to open its doors in orbit by 2027 is making that dream ever closer to reality.
The Gateway Foundation, nestled in California, has announced an ambitious plan for the first space hotel, aptly named Voyager Station.
A Vision of Space Hospitality
Set to be constructed by the Orbital Assembly Corporation—proudly declaring itself “the world’s first large-scale space construction company”—work on this innovative project is slated to begin in 2026. The hotel, a striking ring-shaped structure, is designed to host up to 440 guests, offering an experience uniquely characterized by gravity equivalent to one-sixth that of Earth.

As interest in space tourism grows, a recent survey conducted by Booking.com, involving around 22,000 travelers worldwide, revealed that an encouraging 41 percent are excited about the potential of space travel.
To celebrate this remarkable milestone in the journey of human exploration, the global online travel agency has curated a selection of five extraordinary accommodations that provide a taste of “outer space” without necessitating a rocket launch.
